A selection box is the classic Christmas chocolate present. Cadbury makes several sizes, and its licensed gift shop sells some much bigger ones. Here’s what each holds, according to Cadbury and the retailers that list them.

Small and stocking-sized

The classic size

The Christmas Medium Selection Box 125g holds six items: a Dairy Milk little bar, Crunchie, Fudge, a treatsize bag of Buttons, Double Decker and Wispa. Tesco sells it in a Santa design.

Bars and Buttons

  • Chocolate Bar Selection Box 405g — full bars rather than minis: Dairy Milk, Fruit & Nut, Caramel and a Biscoff-inclusion bar (from Tesco’s listing).
  • Chocolate Buttons Selection Box 340g — four sharing bags. The sources disagree on which ones: Cadbury lists Dairy Milk, Orange and Caramilk Buttons plus Salted Caramel Nibbles, while Tesco lists Orange, White, Milk and Caramel Buttons. Check the pack.

The big gift boxes

These come from Cadbury Gifts Direct, which is run by Hemingways Marketing Services Ltd under licence from Mondelēz International — not by Cadbury itself.

Allergy points

Every box contains milk. Fruit & Nut contains almonds and Wholenut contains hazelnuts; the Biscoff and Oreo bars contain wheat. Cadbury lists nut, peanut or wheat may-contain statements for the Medium and Stocking boxes. Always check the label — see our allergy and storage tips.

All of them are on our selection boxes page, or you can search Amazon for Cadbury selection boxes. On Amazon, some sellers bundle several boxes together, so check the pack size and quantity in the listing.
